Understand the Heat Detection Tile

Modified on Wed, 25 Feb at 11:57 AM

The Heat detection tile on the dashboard shows animals with a heat attention. It gives a quick overview of whether action is required.

What You See on the Dashboard

On the Dashboard, the Heat detection tile shows:

  • Total: Number of animals with a heat attention.
  • In insemination period: The number of animals past their VWP, but that are not pregnant yet.
  • In voluntary waiting period: The number of animals with a heat attention in their voluntary waiting period (VWP).
  • Pregnant: The number of animals with a heat attention that are pregnant.
  • Suspicious: Animals that are suspicious of becoming in heat, but are not confirmed to be in heat yet.

Tile colors:

  • Green: You do not have to check the attention list because no action is required.. For example, a cow in heat but in her VWP gives a green circle.
  • Orange: The attention list has to be checked. For example, inseminate an animal that is in heat while in her insemination period.
