The general settings specify the number of days that determine the normal timing of events (for example, the expected gestation or dry-off period). You can alter these settings to fit your farm management.

Change the General settings

1. Select Settings from the menu.
2. Under Calendar, select General.
3. In the General tab, change the required fields:
   • Dry off: Expected Dry off date, # days since last insemination.
   • Gestation: Expected Calving date, # days after last insemination.
   • Heat cycle: The interval when to expect a heat.
   • Transition period: The period around calving, # days before the expected calving date and after calving.
   • End voluntary waiting period: End of the recovery time, # days after calving before insemination can resume for lactating animals, or # days after birth before the first insemination for youngstock.
   • Automatic pregnant: Automatically create status Pregnant after # days since last insemination.
   • Seasonal breeding:  The end date of the VWP for the entire herd. This setting is used specifically for Seasonal breeding, where all animals follow a synchronized breeding schedule. 
4. Select Submit to confirm.
