An animal receives a milk separation attention during its colostrum period, which is based on the calving date. This ensures that colostrum does not enter the main milk supply as a milk separation attention is triggered in the parlor. 

The number of days after calving that an animal has this attention is defined in the colostrum settings.

How to Change the Colostrum Period

1. Select Settings from the menu.
2. Under Milking, select Attentions.
3. Adjust the Number of colostrum days:
   1. Increase the number: Animals have the milk separation attention for more days after calving.
   2. Decrease the number: Animals have the milk separation attention for fewer days after calving.
