Understanding the Seasonal Insemination Results

Modified on Wed, 23 Jul at 3:59 PM

When seasonal calving is enabled, the Insemination results appear on the Herd app dashboard, helping you track breeding progress through your insemination season.

What You See in Insemination Results

The section shows two key percentages for the selected insemination season:

  • Submission rate
The percentage of eligible animals that were actually inseminated during the season.

  • Non-return rate
The non-return rate represents the percentage of animals that have been inseminated and have not shown signs of returning to heat more than 25 days after insemination. This key performance indicator (KPI) will not show any non-return cows until late in week 4 of the insemination season.

The non-return rate is an early indicator of conception rates.

Note
  • Use the drop-down list to switch between different insemination seasons.

  • Select the settings icon to add, edit, or delete mating seasons.
