Create a Report

Modified on Fri, 6 Jun at 3:49 PM

The Reports app enables you to create fully customized reports that incorporate data from across the entire NN company, not just a single farm. You decide which animals to include, which columns to show, and how to filter and sort the data. You can export reports as Excel or CSV files, making it easy to analyze or share insights with external parties, such as veterinarians, or consultants. They can view relevant data and generate insights, without having to make any changes in Nedap Now.

This article shows how to create a report. Sample reports are provided in Report Examples.

How to Create a Report

  1. Open the Reports app and select +Report
  2. In the window that opens, enter the required information:
    1. Name: Enter a name description. It is good practice to include the farm name in the description, especially if you need to share reports with other parties.
    2. Columns: Add the columns that you want to view in your report.
    3. Filters: Choose the criteria for the animals to appear on the report using filters (optional).
    4. Sort order: Choose how to sort the report by (optional). The animals will appear in the order that you indicate.
    5. The Preview section on the right side of the screen shows the report that you are creating.
  3. When you are done:
    1. Select Save in the upper-right corner of the New report section.
    2. Select Print to create a PDF or print a hard copy.
    3. Select Download to export the report as an Excel or CSV file.

Columns

  • You can add as many columns as you want. If needed, you can include columns more than once.
  • Drag and drop columns to change their order. This will change the horizontal order in which the columns are displayed.
  • The column options are the same as the filter options. For an overview of possible options, see Overview of Filters and Columns.

Filters

  • By default, you see all animals in the list. When you apply one or more filters, the list content updates accordingly, and the label in the settings changes from Not filtered to Filters.
  • Drag and drop the filter options to set their priority.
  • The filter options are the same as the column options. For an overview of possible options, see Overview of Filters and Columns.
  • Use filter operators like '=' or 'contains'. See Overview of Filter Operators for general information about using filter operators.
