Understanding the SmartTag Issues Worklist

Modified on Mon, 5 May at 3:56 PM

The SmartTag issues worklist displays the notifications for SmartTags that are not working correctly. Use this worklist to troubleshoot SmartTag problems.

On the Worklist dashboard, the SmartTag issues tile shows the number of active issues. The following issue types can show:

  • Attached incorrectly
  • Back to front
  • Insufficient data
  • Invalid position
  • No animal linked
  • No data.

You can find a description of each issue with troubleshooting steps in Troubleshooting SmartTag Issues

How to Use the SmartTag Issues Worklist

  1. On the Worklist dashboard, open the SmartTag issues worklist. The Active tab opens by default.
  2. Focus on the following columns:
    1. Tag number: The number of the SmartTag that has an issue.
    2. Issue: The type of SmartTag issue that needs to be solved.
  3. To view more details about the tag, select the SmartTag number.
  4. For each animal, choose one of the following actions:
    • Unlink tag
    • Replace tag
    • Troubleshoot the SmartTag. As soon as the issue has been solved, the system will detect data again and removes the SmartTag issue from the Active tab.

The Past week tab shows animals that were listed on the Active tab in the past seven days.

Animal Actions

Unlink tag
Unlinks the SmartTag from the animal number.
Replace tag
Replaces the SmartTag of the animal. You must enter a new SmartTag number manually for the animal.
Note

If you performed an animal action by mistake, you cannot put the animal back on the Active tab manually. If the SmartTag still has an issue, the system will detect it and automatically put the animal back onto the Active tab.
