Create a Custom Worklist

Modified on Wed, 30 Apr at 10:12 AM

The My worklists option lets you create fully customized worklists. You decide which animals to include, based on stage (Dry, fresh, lactation), task (repro check, health check), assigned person, timing, or any other criteria that matter to you.

You create a custom worklist by applying filters or manually copying or moving animals from other worklists. All your custom worklists appear under My worklists on the Worklist dashboard. There is no limit to how many you can create.

This article provides an overview of how to create a custom worklist. Each step is explained in detail below.

How to Create a Custom Worklist

  1. On the Worklist dashboard, select the Add worklist button on the right side of the screen.
  2. In the window that opens, enter the required information:
    1. Name: Enter a worklist description.
    2. Farm: Choose the farm to which this worklist applies. You can only choose one farm.
    3. Columns: Add the columns that you want to view in your custom worklist.
    4. Filters: Choose the criteria for the animals to appear on the custom worklist using filters (optional).
      Tip

When you start using filters, apply one filter at the time to have a good view of what the effect of each filter is.

    5. Sort order: Choose how to sort the custom worklist by default. The animals will appear in the order that you indicate here (optional).
    6. Include graphs: If you create a worklist for health or reproduction checks, you may want to include the health graph or the reproduction graph (optional).
    7. Action buttons: Create your own Action Buttons (optional).
    8. The Preview section on the right side of the screen shows the resulting custom worklist.

3. When you are done: Select Save in the upper-right corner of the Add worklist section.

Note

If you’ve applied one or more filters, the custom worklist is filled automatically. Make sure that you update the worklist manually before use to update the data and to ensure the list is accurate.

Example

Worklist description Worklist settings Final worklist
With this worklist I want to:
  • See all fresh animals with a recorded health issue during their transition period.
  • Mark these fresh animals so I can review and monitor the animals more closely during the current lactation.
  • Easily identify these animals during future transition periods.

Columns

  • You can add as many columns as you want. If needed, you can include columns more than once.
  • Drag and drop columns to change their order. This will change the horizontal order in which the columns are displayed.
  • The column options are the same as the filter options. For an overview of possible options, see Overview of Worklist Filters and Columns.

Filters

  • By default, the list shows all items unfiltered. When you apply one or more filters, the list content updates accordingly, and the label in the worklist settings changes from Not filtered to Filters.
  • You can add as many filters as you want. If needed, you can include a filter more than once.
  • See Overview of Worklist Filters and Columns for an explanation of all the filter options.
  • Use filter operators like '=' or 'contains'. See Overview of Filter Operators for general information about using filter operators.

Action Buttons

  • You can create 2 action buttons for a custom worklist. These are shown as icon 1 and icon 2 in your worklist. The name that you assign to the action button appears when you hover over the button in the worklist.
  • An action button can include 1 to 11 actions, each with 1 to 3 subactions.
  • The order of the actions assigned to an action button is not relevant. However, contradicting actions cannot be used in one action button. For example, Delete animal cannot precede Change pen

Edit or Delete a Custom Worklist

You can always make changes to your custom worklists:

  1. On the Worklist dashboard, select the three dots next to your custom worklist.
  2. Select Edit or Delete.
