Use the Health Checks worklist to monitor animal behavior, identify potential health issues early, and take timely action to support the well-being of the herd. You can change the Health Checks Settings to control which animals appear on the worklist.
Animals with urgent health issues are added to the worklist immediately. Animals with non-urgent health issues are added the next day if the health issue persists.
On the Worklist dashboard, the Health checks tile shows the following data:
The Health Checks worklist identifies the animals showing behavioral changes that may indicate health issues. The worklist allows you to quickly assess whether an animal's health is improving, stable, or declining.
Health issues fall into three types:
If an animal has multiple health issues, the assigned Health Check type is determined by severity, ranked as follows:
The Health Score is a dynamic value between 1 and 10 that reflects the animal’s current health status based on behavior and contextual factors.
The Health Score measures an animal’s well-being based on:
Behavior in the past 24 hours.
Calendar data (such as reproductive status).
Comparison with other animals on the farm and with similar animals based on lactation number and Days in Milk (DIM).
The Health Score indicates an animal's current health status based on its behavioral patterns.
The Health Score Trend indicates whether an animal's health has been improving, stable, or declining over the last six hours.
↑ = Improving
↓ = Declining
— = Stable
Example of a Trend Change
An animal with a high Health Score but a downward trend may be in the early stages of a health decline. Detecting this early allows for quicker intervention, preventing minor issues from becoming serious.
Use the worklist to evaluate and respond to health alerts.
You can use the customized Flags feature to highlight specific health or reproduction conditions for each animal.
The Past week tab shows animals that were listed on the Active tab in the past seven days.
Sort your worklist by Check, Health score and Health score trend to show the most urgent animals at the top of the list.
You cannot remove animals with urgent health checks from the Active tab. The Checked and No health issue actions are unavailable in these cases.
