By default, the system uses pen-based correction to improve accuracy and reduce false alerts. This feature detects when group-level disturbances, such as hoof trimming, sudden weather changes, or any external factors, causes cows to become more expressive and active.
Instead of misclassifying this temporary behavior as heat, the system filters it out. This reduces false positives and helps you receive more reliable alerts.
Pen correction is applied only when at least 20 cows in the same pen have valid data. It never creates additional alerts—only filters out potential false ones.
This improvement is especially valuable for grazing farms, where group behavior can shift more dynamically due to outdoor conditions or changing routines.
