Managing Health Checks Settings

Modified on Thu, 5 Jun at 8:56 AM

Use the Health checks settings to control which animals appear on the Health checks worklist. You can define the transition period and set the sensitivity levels for different health checks.

Types of Health Checks

  • Urgent: The animal has stopped eating and ruminating (high inactivity) for a set period.
  • Significant: A sharp increase in inactivity in the last 24 hours.
  • Gradual: A steady decline in eating and/or ruminating in the last five days.

Adjust the Health Checks Settings

  1. Select the Settings app.
  2. Select the appropriate farm, if you have more than one farm in your Nedap Now company.
  3. Select Health checks in the left pane, and adjust the settings if required.
    • Urgent: The shorter the time frame, the more animals are included in the worklist.
    • Significant: The lower the percentage, the less animals are included in the worklist.
    • Gradual: The lower the percentage, the less animals are included in the worklist.
  4. Select Save
Note

If you have more than one farm in your Nedap Now company, make sure to adjust the settings for all farms.

Explanation per Setting

Transition Period

By default, the transition period is set to 30 days before and 50 days after calving. You can adjust this range to match the practices used on your farm.

Use this setting to filter cows that are in the transition period in your Health checks worklist.

Pens with Custom Settings

If you want different settings for a specific pen, you can add them here.

  1. Select Add pen.
  2. Select the appropriate pen(s).
  3. Select Confirm.
  4. Adjust the sensitivity or timeframe

Pens Not Shown on Worklist

Exclude pens from the Health checks worklist. For example, pens that are already subject to regular manual checks. This keeps the worklist focused and manageable

  1. Select Add pen.
  2. Select the appropriate pen(s).
  3. Select Confirm.

Note

You cannot exclude animals with Urgent health issues. These animals always appear on the worklist.
