Check Connection Status in the Devices App

Modified on Tue, 20 Oct at 10:37 AM

The Devices app in Nedap Now shows the connectivity status of your Nedap Now system. Use it to check whether your installation is connected, see when a connectivity issue started, and access your local Velos system.

Understand the Connection Status

A green checkmark in the menu and green status indicators in the app itself indicate that the installation is connected, and no action is needed.

If there is a connection issue:

  • The cloud icon in the top bar turns orange on every page.
  • The Devices app shows a red exclamation mark instead of a green checkmark.

Understand the Installation Details

The Devices app shows the following information:

  • Installation: The Velos installation name, VPU Online domain, Velos version, and IP address.
  • Farm: The farm name as configured in the Farm Setup.
  • Status: Whether the installation is connected to Nedap Now.
  • Go to device: A link to open the local Velos system. Sign in using your Velos credentials.

Tip

Hover over the green checkmark to see which Velos version is running. This information is not available while the connection is lost.

Check When a Connectivity Issue Started

  1. In the Devices app, expand the installation with the connectivity issue.
  2. Under Connection issues, review the issue history to see when the connection was lost.

Access Your Local Velos system (VPU)

When Nedap Now is offline, you can still access your local Velos system in several ways, one of which via the Devices app. See Access the VPU when Nedap Now is offline for instructions.
