Use this custom worklist to identify cows to move from the colostrum pen to a milking pen.

Suggested Columns

Add these columns to help assess the cows on the worklist:

• DIM: Days in milk.

• Last calving date: The date of the most recent calving.

• Age: Select Years + Months.

• Lactation: The lactation number.

• Rumination time: Select one or more of the following:

  • Last 24 hours: Rumination during the past 24 hours.

  • Yesterday: Rumination from midnight to midnight on the previous day.

  • Average: Average daily rumination time over the past 7 days.

Suggested Filters

The following example shows lactating cows in the colostrum pen that are more than 4 days in milk. Adjust the DIM value to match the farm’s routine.

If cows move to different milking pens based on age or lactation number, create a separate worklist for each group. Use Age, Birth date or Lactation to define the groups. Set the limits so that each cow appears in the intended worklist.

Action Buttons

Create an action button with Change pen and select the destination milking pen. Give the button a clear name, such as Move to main milking pen.

Use the button to update the pen in Nedap Now when the cows are moved. If separate worklists are used for different groups, set the appropriate destination pen for each worklist.
