Transfer a Tag to Another Animal

To get the most value from the Nedap system, we recommend using a SmartTag on all animals from the first breeding period onward. If needed, you can reassign SmartTags between animals by physically moving the tag and updating the tag assignment in Nedap Now.

To transfer a tag and its data correctly:

1. Attach the tag to the new animal. Adjust the belt slide numbers if necessary.
2. In Nedap Now, enter the previous animal's number and press Enter. The animal details page opens.
3. Select the Animal tab. 
4. Verify that the tag number is displayed.
5. Select Edit on the rights side of the screen.
6. Copy the tag number and save it temporarily. 
7. Delete the tag number and select Save.
8. Search for the animal number of the animal that now wears the tag.
9. Go to the Animal tab and then select Edit.
10. Paste the tag number and select Save.

The tag is now linked to the new animal.
