Create a Sorting List

Modified on Wed, 28 Oct at 11:44 AM

The Lists tab in the Sorting app lets you create a sorting list by entering animal numbers manually or importing them from a CSV file. Use a sorting list to schedule animals to be sorted at a later time or multiple times within a predefined time window.

Create a Sorting List

  1. Open the Sorting app.
  2. In the left panel, select Lists.
  3. If you have more than one farm, select the required farm.
  4. Select +New list on desktop or List on mobile.
  5. In the New list window, enter the list details:
    • Name.
    • Sorting area.
    • Start date and time.
    • End date and time.
    • Select whether an animal can be sorted multiple times within the predefined time window.
    • (Optional) Enter a note. The note appears next to the rule on the Lists page.
  6. To enter animal numbers manually:
    1. Enter an animal number and select Add on desktop or the + icon on mobile.
    2. Repeat for each animal, then select Submit.
  7. To import animal numbers from a CSV file:
    1. Prepare a CSV file containing the animal numbers you want to add to the sorting list.
    2. Select Import CSV in the upper-right corner.
    3. Upload the file and select Submit. The animal numbers are added to the sorting list.

The Lists page shows the list you created.

Note

The CSV import in the Sorting app adds animal numbers to a sorting list. To add animals and their information to Nedap Now, use the CSV import in the Cow app. See Import Animals Using a CSV File.
