Add SmartTags to the System

Modified on Wed, 13 Aug at 4:17 PM

Before you can link a SmartTag to an animal, the tag must first be added to Nedap Now. You can add tags using your mobile device (recommended) or desktop browser

Add Tags Using a Mobile Device (Recommended)

Using the Tag app on your phone is the fastest way to add tags, especially when scanning multiple tags in a row. You can use your device’s NFC functionality to scan SmartTags without entering numbers manually.

How to Start

  1. Open the Tag app.

  2. Go to the All Tags tab.

  3. Tap the + Add button in the top-right corner.

  4. Choose either:

    • Single tag: Scan one tag at a time.

    • Box of tags: Add a full set of 10 tags in a row.

Add a Single Tag (Mobile)

  1. Select Single tag.

  2. Hold the tag against the back of your phone.

  3. Tap the scan icon next to the Tag number field.

  4. The screen will show Ready to scan.

  5. When the tag is scanned successfully, the number will appear.

  6. Tap Save, or scan the next tag and save once you’re done.

Add Tags Using a Desktop Device

How to Start

  1. Open the Tag app in your browser.

  2. Go to the All Tags tab.

  3. Click the + Add button in the top-right corner.

  4. Choose either:

    • Single tag: Enter one tag number.

    • Box of tags: Enter one tag number to add 10 consecutive tags.
