Use your mobile phone’s NFC feature to quickly scan and link SmartTags to animals. This is the fastest and most accurate method for assigning tags in the field. 

Steps

1. Open the Tag app and go to the Link Tags tab. 
2. Select the correct farm (if applicable). 
3. Select Using NFC. 
4. Choose the tag type:

   • Tag 1

   • Tag 2

   • Tag 3 (recommended for SmartTags)

5. (Optional) Enable Automatically overwrite existing combinations.

6. Select Start.

7. Enter the Animal number.

8. Hold the tag against the back of your phone.

9. Tap the NFC button next to the tag number field to scan and link the tag.

10. Select the blue + button to add more tags, or Save to finish.
