What does the color of the circle on the Dashboard mean?

The color indicates if the animals to check are in a critical period (transition period) or not. The orange part indicates the animals in the transition period, the yellow part shows the number of animals in other periods. 

The number in the circle indicates the total number of animals on the Animals to check list.
